You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.

My 12-hour plane ride 9in total), went smoothly (i.e. no delays, no hassle, no nothing!). Coming from a country where it's cold almost 70% of the year, feeling the Manila heat was like going into a huge Sauna room. Only, I'm staying inside this Sauna room for 2 weeks. The place is freakin' hot!

Many things changed from the last year and a half I've been away. Many new buildings, malls, hotels, condominiums, bridges, roads and whatnots. The place is transforming quite rapidly, I'd say. It still is crowded and blowing of horns on the streets is as normal as breathing. I missed those sounds! hahaha

Apart from the heat and the quickly revolving business district, Manila is still my home. Its colors and noise and people still amaze me (sometimes, even amuse me).

I had dinner with my family last night and we were laughing from the time we were all together in the car up until we finished dinner. And arriving home, there were still a few dragging jokes we repeatedly told each other until we were snorting and curling and holding our tummies until the laughters subsided.

This will be my life for the next 14 days. I am really pleased! :)
